Trying to load Symantec NIS on XP platform

Can someone please advise how I can get around the message 'this MSI must be
launched through setup'? It appears whether I let the CD autorun or
manually go to Add/Remove software setup. The installation fails every time
with the above message. Thanks, Tom

Some *.MSI files will launch into setup on their own. Others, including the
one you're trying to work with, are a portion of a larger setup program.
You need to run "setup.exe" and it will make use of the *.msi files.
