Trying to link my forums page to a navagation button on my web

I am trying to link a forums page to my web page I am writing in Front Page.
The Navagation button will not allow hyperlinks any suggestions ?
 
Are you using the FP Navigation View? If so:
Right click on Home page in Navigation View,
Choose "Add External Page" or "Add Existing Page"
In the dialogue that opens type in the URL for your discussion web and
click OK
Drag the created box to where you want it.
Rename the box to the display name you need.
