Hi I'm tring to install XP. I wiped the hard drive and reformated with a 98
boot disc But now the code key won't work. How can I wipe the hard drive
clean before XP is fully installed with the XP disc? I'm new at XP so please
be patient with me. :)

You need to start over and perform a "clean install".

Clean Install Windows XP

Thank you for your help. I downloaded the 6 "XP startup floppies" and am now
reformating and partitionong the hard drive. :) Too cool!

Unless you had some issues with your CD drive you should not have needed to
download the floppies as all Windows XP CDs are bootable and can perform the
tasks that the floppies gave you from it's Recovery Console.
