When I try to install Office 2003 Pro, by typing \\uwapps... etc, etc, I get

And what environment are you in?

are you on a college network? is that drive normally accessible from your
computer?

No, I am not on a college network. I am trying to install Office 2003 Pro
from a CD-ROM

Then WHY are you trying to do it by typing "\\uwapps" then? Who on earth
told you to do that?

Does the local machine have a CDRom? if not, map the network CDRom and use a
drive letter.

If you're installing from your own CD Rom, why don't you let the autorun
feature begin the install? You shouldn't have to prompt it to start.
If the CD doesn't autorun the setup when inserted, then browse to the CD in
Windows Explorer and double-click setup.exe.
I don't understand why you're typing the \\uwapps command. That looks like
the command to install from a network drive. If you're a home user with a
stand alone PC, that command can do nothing for you. If you're in a different
environment, please advise.
