I picked up the original COD box set with an expansion pack. I place the disc
in my DVD/CD-ROM drive (48x), the game loads to about 50%, then it ask "load
disc 2 and press OK". I press ok then nothing. It doesn't show any loading
status bars or anything. I know my PC can handle the game, I just can't get
it to load. Any suggestions? If it helps these are the messages in my error
report screen for the time frame that I was attempting to load the game.

Try installing it from safe mode.

To boot the machine into safe mode press the F8 key several times just
before the Windows XP logo screen would come up. You should then be
presented with a menu asking how you want to boot, select safe mode, login
and try the install.

If it works, just reboot to get out of safe mode.

Thanks Paul this worked. Now all I have to do is get my game controller to
work with the game. This was a big help though and I appreciate the time!

Thanks Jayman
