trying to get rid of adware

I keep getting pop-ups sourced from the 8ad.com site. I
tried to delete the Winshow.dll, and remove it's registry
references, but seem to have caused myself more
problems... the winshow.dll is back, and now my browser
hits an error and shuts down if I open a 2nd window. I
also had a winlink.dll that looked to be related or
similar, and that one seems to have stayed deleted.
Seems like the authors of these programs have been
modifying them lately, as I'm not finding removal
instructions that seem to work. Any suggestions?

BD,

install the free SpyBot and run it regularly
(http://www.safer-networking.org/).

Adware by Lavasoft.www.ad-aware.com for the free
download
for personal use.Run it,then open Quarentine list
highlight file, then delete file.Walla the junk is
gone, also gets rid of other spyware you dont know that in
your puter.

Adaware and "Spyware - Search and Destroy" are great programs fo getting rid of most adware programs, but Winlink.dll and Winshow.dll both have to be removed from the registry manually
