I'm pretty sure my copy of XP is messed up. I can get 98
to work on my PC, but when I try to upgrade to XP setup
locks up on a reboot. XP was installed on this computer
and running fine. For some reson (I wasn't around, so I
don't know what was done to the computer) my PC started
getting fatal boot errors.
None of my friends have a stand alone copy of XP, so I
want to order a replacment disk. I'm now in a never
ending loop...the only way I can find
to get a CD is through:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;
[ln];326246
At the very bottom there is a link to PSS. When I try to
get free email support (so I don't have to pay long
didstance for a phonecall) it asks for you product # which
you find under Start -> Accessories -> System Tools ->
System Information. Only one problem, I can't intall
windows! Grrr...any ideas?
