I am not sure how you will see the replies but here goes.
Check your cables. Does the power /power saver light on the front of the
monitor stay on (normal) or does it go into power saver color (amber)?
How long does it stay on? 5 Minutes , 1 hour ??
When it goes off how do you get it to come back on??
Could your screen saver be set for use but nothing (none). ?
Is it a "new" box , new monitor WARRANTY then call the HP help line for
repair.
If it is no longer a warranty system then you will need to "borrow"
another monitor
if possible to find out if it is your monitor or something in the
system.
Or take your system to someone with a working monitor any try it there.
