Trying to download MSXML 6.0 Service Pack 1 from MS site
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...2c-368b-4ce1-9dab-3e9827b70604&displaylang=en
to Windows XP Home edition. Computer keeps telling me it cannot read the file
type .msi. The one Seagate support said I needed for Maxtor installation is
msxm16_86.msi - does anyone have any idea how to assist? Thanks!

Thank you for link to protocol and common installer problem - however, I am
overwhelmed by choices in the first link. I don't have Vista, so the second
link is not useful. Methods 1-3 seem easiest to follow/understand - do I try
one and if it doesn't then allow me to download the .msi, I should try the
next one? Thanks.
