trying to create form field choices that are dependent on others

Is there a way to create menu choices in a form that are dependent on a
previous form field choice? In other words, from a drop down menu if the user
clicks choice "A" he can then choose from a second menu with choices "A1, A2,
etc.", but if he/she chose choice "B" initially, then the second menu would
gives choices "B1, B2, etc."
