Trying to cancel an e-mail with an error in the address line

I am trying to send out some pictures, but have made an error in the address line. I didn't realize I had made a mistake until I got an error alert. Now I can't cancel the e-mail so everytime I retry with the correct address, outlook express tries to send the original with the error as well as the new one. Of course, I am then stuck in the black hole of retries and the tasks keep adding up. Please help me!
