Trying to burn DVD

I was able to burn my movie to DVD, however it won't play on my DVD player. What am I doing wrong? Please help!!

Not all dvd players play home burned dvd's and some will play one format and
not another, so the best place to start is
www.dvdrhelp.com
and check whether your dvd player should be playing the disc you produced.
If it should come back and we can discuss bitrates etc.

I've had trouble with TV/DVD players playing "RW" type
DVDs -- some will, some won't. My solution was to use
the "R" type.

I don't have an answer for you, but I was curious as to what program you used to burn to a DVD.

You need to burn in DVD-R format and use a DVD burning software like Sonic MyDVD. There are many others.

I'd actually start with visiting www.dvdrhelp.com and see which formats of
dvd your player will play.
