OK, So, my motherboard toasted and I built a new baby but I am having an
issue getting some of the data off of the old drive.

I can see the drive, click on just about everything, but it denies me access
to the folder and files that I am trying to retrieve, i.e, pictures. I
currently have it hooked up to my IDE controller which is not going to stay,
since it is normally for my optical drives.

I have tried to set some sort of sharing of the drive up, but it does not
seem to do what I want it to.

Appreciate any steering on this. Oh yea, the HD still has windows XP on it
of course, but I just want to try and get the pictures and then format and
then who knows what.(It is of course IDE, and of course, everything is SATA
now so it may just get tossed.)

Open for the responses.

Thx,

WS

There is important information there dependent on the version of Windows XP
