try to burn cd and system crashes

i am using xp professional with th e high mat extention
up grade and when I try to burn a cd it gets half way
thru and the system crashes ,probably due to a conflik or
some thing..i thought this program was suppose to be a
good one?....
 
Make sure that every other program is shut down before burning, including msn messenger, anti-virus software (unplug network connection), screen saver, etc. Try again.
