DJ,
In addition to what Johan suggested ( BTW - really good link. Make sure to
check out the three or four links at the very bottom as well ) I might
suggest that you consider using NETDOM to do this.
When dealing with Trusts between WIN2000 and WINNT ( known as a down-level
Trust ) using the Active Directory Domain and Trusts MMC just does not work
sometimes. There is nothing that you have done wrong. Quite the contrary -
you have done everything by the book. However, it just does not work!
I have experienced this myself a couple of times. It can be quite
frustrating, to say the least.
NETDOM is a part of the Support Tools and can be found on both the WIN2000
Server CD as well as on the WIN2000 Service Pack CD in the Support | Tools
folder. You can also download NETDOM from the MS web site. I would suggest
using the WIN2000 Service Pack CD and installing the Support Tools on all of
your WIN2000 Servers ( DC or Member Server ).

Cary
