Trusting Exchange

Scenario: 2 domains, DOM1 + DOM2, each with their own
Exchange 2000 server.

Is it possible to trust between the domains, so users in
DOM1 can see e.g. free/busy time in Outlook-calendars for
users in DOM2 (and vice versa)?

Or is the only solution to establish a common
rootdomain...?

Any help appreciated!

Exchange lives in its own little world. The two Exchange Servers need to be
within the same "Exchange Site". That is not the same as the AD sites,
although it may be similar and they may parallel each other,..and Exchange
does use AD to create all this in.

You need to ask these questions in an Exchange Group. It is a very complex
system and those in the Exchange Group would be more familiar with the
specifics of it. However some of those same guys hang out here as well :-)
