Trusted template

I want to save a presentation as a template under My Templates. To do this I
have to click on the Office Button, click Save As, click Trusted Templates
and then save the file as a template.
However when I click on Save As I do not get an option to click on Trusted
Templates.
Does anyone know how I can make Trusted Templates appear under Save As?

I'm not sure where you got these instructions, but they're not right -- or,
at least, they seem to have some steps missing or something.

Instead, try Office Button | Save As, and in the "save as type" dropdown,
choose PowerPoint Template *.POTX. This will take you to the place where
templates are housed so they show up when you go to File | New | My
Templates.

You can save them there directly by navigating to
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates\ (in Vista) or
C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates\ (in
Windows XP)

Those are the default template locations, and they should be listed in your
trusted locations already. You can check what's set as a trusted location by
going to Office Button | PPT Options | Trust Center | Trust Center Settings
| Trusted Locations.
