Hi,

5. There are 5 zones, but IE only shows 4.
The fifth zone is "My Computer" where one should also be very strict
regarding policies since offline browsing takes place in this context.

Regards,

Hello

Do someone knows thw advanteges of "Trusted Site" in the
internet options under tools

thank you in advance

Gal

By default there are four web content zones. Unless a website is added to
one of the Web Content Zones other than the internet zone, then the security
settings in the internet zone apply to that zone. The security setting for
my internet zone is medium, the trusted zone is low, and the restricted
sites is high. The advantage of adding a site to the trusted zone is that it
will have looser security settings applied to it for more convenient website
browsing. However the lower security settings can result in a computer
getting parasites, home page hijacking, or worse. That is why only
absolutely trusted websites should be the only ones added to the trusted
zone. For instance I have Microsoft, Amazon, Vanguard brokerage, and some
others to my trusted zone. I believe these are companies who operate high
quality businesses with quality websites that have no interest in
compromising my computer. However what I do is configure my internet zone
to high security and set my trusted zone to medium which still allows me to
browse my trusted websites without any problem and protect me better for
general internet browsing in case I end up at a website that tries to
install junk on my computer. --- Steve
