I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this, but if your domain is in Windows
2000 Native mode or Windows 2003 Native mode...can you still have a trust
relationship with a Windows NT 4.0 domain?

Yes,

The mode should have nothing to do with trusts. It only has to do with the
type of Domain Controllers you can have. For example, in a WIN2000 AD
environment if you are in Native Mode then you will not have any functioning
WINNT 4.0 BDC, whereas if you were in Mixed Mode you would! However, in
either case ( Native Mode or Mixed Mode ) you can still have a trust
established with a WINNT 4.0 Domain.

Arc,

Should have mentioned that if you are talking about Small Business Server
2000 or 2003 you can not have any trusts established at all ( well, not
really true with SBS 2003 - you can have that temporary seven-day trust so
that you can use ADMT to migrate your 'objects' over... ).

HTH,

Cary

This is Windows 2003 Server. We are in the process of migrating from
Windows 2000 and I have some trusts attached to some NT 4.0 domains in some
sister companies.

Thanks!
