I''m having a problem with a trust relationship between Wndows 2003(SP1) and
Windows 2000 (SP4). Does anyone have a resolution? My Windows 2000 domain
can't see the windows 2003 domain. They get a message no logon server
available.

How are these two domains resolving each other?
Win2k can use conditional forwarding for the Win2k domain, but the win2k DNS
will need a secondary of the Win2k3 domain zone.

Primary is self and secondary is opposite domain controllers.
They are both on the same segment.

Is this the same forest or an external trust?

If external it requires NetBIOS resolution. Given that (all of)
the DCs are on the same broadcast segment then NetBIOS will
resolve through broadcasts and WINS Server is not needed.

If you have turned off NetBIOS on (any of) the DCs then this
could account for the problem with external trusts.

If this is not the issue you may actually have a hardware issue in
the cabling or hubs/switches.

Also watch out for both the built-in and any add-on firewalls.
