Truly unique problem for Internet Explorer

Every time that I close an Internet Explorer window, I get a message saying: The instruction at "[memory address]" referenced memory at "[different memory address]". The memory could not be "read"
about 10-20 show up per window, and it is extremely annoying. My computer runs Windows XP Home w/ IE 6. I have already downloaded/reinstalled IE 6, but the problem persists. I have also already run sfc /scannow to check that the windows protected files are undamaged. no problems with those.

so can anybody help me with repairing IE6? it works fine otherwise, it is simply annoying.

Kevin, I have this same problem and have run the same scans. But now I can't figure out how to find the answers from your post. Have you had any replies?

Thanks, Jan
