Hi,
We have a network of Windows and Macintosh computers
connected to 5 Windows 2000 Server machines. We are
running Macintosh file and print services on these
servers. Until recently, we have been able to print
documents from any Macintosh.
We are not sure when it started, but last week people
started noticing that the Macintosh computers are no
longer printing. Looking in the event log, we find the
error "TrueImage Interpreter initialization failed", which
tells me nothing. The Knowledge Base just says to contact
Technical Support. I tried deinstalling Print Services
for Macintosh and then reinstalled it. No go. I also
tried reloading the driver for one of the printers. That
also didn't work.
The documents, by the way, come from the Macintosh into
the print spooler as type PSCRIPT1. I don't know if this
has always been the case since I had no cause to look at
it when it was working.
We recently updated the servers to Service Pack 4, which
we suspect may be when this started.
Anyone have any ideas or advice on how to fix this or get
the TrueImage Interpreter to initialize properly?
Thanks,
Karim
