True Find Page in place of webpage?

Does anyone know what or why this "TrueFindPage" pops open on my browser
instead of the valid webpage? It even popped up instead of Yahoo in my
browser.
My OS is XP. I haven't downloaded service pack 2. I update Norton AV, I
have a firewall, I run Spybot Search and Destroy. My computer seems to be
clean, but there has to be something wrong for this intruder to be enabled!

Does anyone know how this keeps happening?

This is a beta program which means that it may actually cause problems. I've
been using it for a while and it has not caused a single problem here and is
very good. What I'd do is give it a shot and see what it says. Run a full
scan in safe mode with updated definitions:

Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware (Beta) Home:

Galen,
Thank you for responding, unfortunately, if this is a Beta program
(TrueFindPage) the developer should be asking permission to change the
registry. I found the problem in my Registry in a folder called eUniverse and
REDIRECT URLS. It's adware and even after deleting the files, I downloaded
another adaware program to run along with "Spybot Search and Destroy". The
new adaware (Ad-Aware SE) program found additional files related to this
"TrueFindPage" (which, by the way, is worthless.)
I hope this is over for me, but my Internet Explorer was hijacked by this
"TrueFindPage" by redirecting valid webpages. I'd like to know how to prevent
this from happening again. If you have any ideas I'd like to hear them.

I had to run a virus scan from Symantec's website to find the path to the
intruder, although I update virus definitions and scan regularly, my own scan
didn't reveal any problem. And the files were stored in a folder with a
different name (eUniverse.)

Thanks,
still functional

I'm sorry that my reply didn't come through as clearly as I'd meant it to.
Now that I re-read what I'd written I can see where I'd have even been
confused about my reply. What I meant to say was that you could download the
Microsoft Anti-Spyware beta program (that IT might have some errors but that
it's been running really well on my computers here) and that it might take
care of your problem. I hope that clears it up a little. What I'd do is I'd
download it, install it, update it, and run it in safe mode to see if it's
able to clear up any spyware problems that Spybot didn't take care of. It
contains a number of definitions that Spybot doesn't have and has a few
additional features that you might like as well.
