I have just converted over to a canon ip4000 and on the whole am satisfied
with it so far (touch wood)
I do notice however that when printing pictures on plain paper - the canon
does not produce a true black where it should - whereas the Epson did.
I have a load of Epson Photo quality inkjet paper left, which used to
produce excellent results, but somehow the canon inks just seem to lack
contrast.
I have printed a few pictures on Canon paper and the results are excellent,
but it would appear that in order to obtain true colours I am stuck with
Canon papers, whereas the Epson printers are compatible with a wider range
of papers.
I have a project whereas I need to print out the end result onto stiff card
180gsm, but end up getting dull results - I miss the Epson in this respect.
Is there a better setting I should use when printing a logo onto plain white
card (which is designed to still go through printers and photocopiers) which
printed fine with the Epson... until the heads blocked that is.
