TRS stereo connector, which wire where?

On a 1/8 inch TRS (tip, ring, sleeve) stereo connector audio output port
of a mainboard (in this case a Shuttle AN35N Ultra), which wire of the
jack goes to the right, the left, and common?

I want to attach the computer output to the TV audio input, which has
two RCA phono jacks, one for R and one for L.

For certain the ground/shield/common is the sleeve. And my recollection is
that "right = ring" so that leaves "left = tip". It would be easy enough to
check out a ready-made cable to make sure though. Or you could always hook
it up this way and then play back some audio with known channel placement
and see if it is correct and then reverse the tip and ring if they aren't.

google "tip ring sleeve audio connector left right"

The modern profile three-conductor jack plug was originally designed for
stereo signal connections, with left channel on the tip, right on the ring
and common return on the body or sleeve.
