Hi,
I have laptop with Windows 98. I'm trying to get it wi-fi enabled with
a generic PCMCIA IEE802.11b 11Mbps Wireless CardBus PC Card. The card
installs fine, the Link Quality is shown at 100%, the Signal Strength
is shown at 100%, the link light on the card is green and the act light
is flashing red, but I can't get connected.
I've checked that all the protocols are in place and the laptop
connects fine with a standard PCMCIA network card. There aren't any
hardware conflicts.
Unfortunately there is no manufacturers name on the card so I can't
check drivers etc.
I'd appreciate any ideas as to what might be wrong.
Thanks in advance.
Regards
Emmett
