The speakers are conected right and have power. The computer read my video card, do I need to still install the cd that came with it? I will also try to go through the troubleshooter, I saw on an earlier post.

What has you video card got to do with a sound problem? It's your sound card
that produces sounds.

If your extra multimedia keys are not supported by the basic drivers
included in XP, install the software for the keyboard. Be sure to install a
version that is compatible with XP. You may need to check the
manufacturer's website for a suitable version.

If the keyboard was included in your OEM package, check the PC
manufacturer's website first. If the keyboard was purchased separately,
check with the keyboard mfr.

You're trying to get sound from your graphics card?! PMSL!! There's a simple
solution to your problem - repackage your computer and send it back! You
need to double your IQ just to open the box!
