Is there a web site that goes into detail on how to troubleshoot
while in safe mode?

I posted my problem on this newsgroup a few days ago and was told to
start-up my computer in Safe Mode and then troubleshoot.
This is where the method of 'remaining in the same conversation' would have
served you much better than starting another conversation (thread/post/etc)
and expecting others to just 'know' what you were talking about.
There is no 'general' troubleshooting tips that would not just be enormous
and cover every base imaginable (and likely would miss many more than it
covered.) It would be like gong into a doctors office and saying, "I hurt"
and refusing to give more details. The doctor is likely to walk out on you.
11/08/2006 -- 'WIN XP SP2'
11/09/2006 -- 'IE7 ?'

12/31/2006 -- 'Troubleshooting in Safe Mode'
In a different newsgroup - but still related...:

All of the ones archived for you...

I looked (cursory glance) over those and only one might have implied a safe
mode boot and troubleshooting - where it mentioned how to perform a clean
boot... If you can provide details on what you are troubleshooting - I am
sure someone here can help you with specific details - otherwise few people
are willing to give a shotgun-like (in the dark) attempt at helping you.
