I continue to get an error message when editor function
is required. The message reads in part The "Word is
either busy or can't be found."

I'm using Outlook and Word 2002 and have tried several
times to reset the default in email Options and checkthe
box next to " Use Word as email editor." No matter how
many times I've reset the options, each time I go back to
reset, the box is unchecked.

This seems to have cooincided with a Microsoft update
(don't know which one) from this past summer. Everything
had been fine until then and am only now thinking there
may be a connection between the update and this issue.
Can anyone help?

Thank you

Set your signature to <none> and try again. If this works; recreate your
signature.

Thanks, but that didn't work. Still get the same error
message. Any other thoughts?

Do you've got any text automatically inserted in a newly created message is
some way? Make sure that this is disabled. Also make sure that Outlook isn't
started in safe mode.

Yes, the signature is automatically inserted. But even
even when I followed your direction and unchecked the
signature, there was no change and continued to get the
error message. Also this happens when not in safe mode.

Do you think it might help to resinstall office?

Thanks,
Brandi
