troubleshoot form in edit mode

I have the switchboard setup to open a form in edit mode,
but when you chose that particular command, you are not
able to see the previous entries. I have not seen this
before, and do not know where to look. Can anyone help
with minor problem?

If you are using the Access Switchboard, it sounds to me that you have
selected the command to open the Form in Add mode rather than Edit mode.

Use the Switchboard Manager to check the command you have selected.
 
Actually, that was the first thing I checked, because that
is what I had assumed what happened. I do have it set up
for edit mode which is what is got me stumped. I have not
had this problem before in the past when creating dbases.

Could the Form RecordSource be empty?

Open the RecordSource Query (SQL String) by itself, i.e. not through the
Form and see if any row is returned.
