Hi,

I also own a Vaio that was running XP Pro, I cleaned out my hard drive and
installed it with Vista Ultimate. I went directly to Realtek and downloaded
the latest driver, plus, it's even better than what Sony has. Correct me if
I'm wrong, I think majority of Sony Vaio are running Realtek integrated sound
card, so who's better to get solution than the manufacturer itself. That's
what I did after reload my Vaio.

Thank you for contact me but, at this moment I can't clean my hard drive. I
have the Vista Business and I downloaded the Realtek driver and installed it,
everything was ok (first I unistalled the spund driver) but the sound of my
Vaio does not work.

No, I didn't mean that you need to cleaned out your hard drive, I was just
relating to you what the root cause of my problem and how I went about
solving this audio problem just to give you an idea. Anyway, Realtek.com is
where I got my solution.

I was having some audio problems especially with the last few days auto
updates. I didn't know what to do so I came here and read through some of
the posts here. This one helped me the best. Overall I like Vista, but it
does have some quirks. Anyway, thanks for the help!! It works great!!

People click this link:

http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads...=3&GetDown=false#High Definition Audio Codecs

Choose the Windows: Vista Driver. Download and install. It's really quick
and the sound is pretty darn good.

Thanks again!

I have the same problem with my Pavilion 1760BR, but in my case Realtek
driver didn´t work. Any other suggestion?
