Troubles w/ "Recent", "History" Function; IE and OE

I use Wins XP.

For the functions of "recent (my recent documents)", and "history (in internet
explorer)":

1. How can I disable the above in Windows XP?

2. How can I move the above files to another partition safely and
without problems/errors?

There are 2 *.reg


For line 101,
It states it is used to "Prevent IE History Being Removed".
However what I want is vice versa.

It is because I might consider re-enable them in the future.
If so, I would like to separate them from system partition (with Wins in it).

What do you mean by "re-routing the path?
Simply cut and paste files to another partition will cause problems.
(NB: I tried moving favorities to another partition. Unfortunately it caused
malfunction)

The first one is called "Clear History of Typed URL".
Sorry for misleading. It is not what I want.
What the history I am referring is the record of what websites I visited in a
specific period.
I tried to set "0" in "Internet Explorer | Tools | Options" in "General Tab |
History".
However it still records today's history.
(NB: I wonder if this problem is just for the first day I implement this
setting. Will this problem go off after the next day?)


The second one is called "Prevent My Documents and Recent Documents".
There are 4 items. Would you mind to tell me the use of each item (all 4 items
are quoted at the end of my post):

I think:
1 - ?? no use ??
2 - To hide the "Recent Docs"
3 - For removing the "Recent Docs" folder and stop it from functioning
4 - Clear all recent shortcuts in "Recent Docs" when you turn off the computer.

If the above are right, since you have removed the whole "Recent Docs" by (3)
already, why need (2) and (4)?

Curiously speaking, why would you name the *.reg as the above? It sounds to me
like you are going to remove both "My Documents" and "My Recent Documents"
