i am running windows xp and keep getting an error message
that windows is not starting successfully and it gives the
options to enter safe mode, safe mode with networking safe
mode with command prompt start normall or lakt know good
configuration. no matter which one you selet it goes
right back to the same messge. any word of wisdom on what
to do????
 
Try a repair install from the CD.

Deb,

Have you added a new device to your computer? I ran into
this problem when adding ram to a GATEWAY computer. It
would loop back to the menu, removed the new module and
XP would then boot normally. I gave up on it and trashed
the machine.

I would like to get more information before you do a reinstall or anything
that drastic. What error do you get on bootup?
