Trouble with TOOLS tab and "Internet Options..."

When I attempt to use the "internet options" to clear
history etc...I get message saying "cancelled due to
restrictions in effect on this computer, see your systems
administrator". I believe this only began since doing a
disc defrag a few days ago. Any suggestions?
 
This is usually caused by spyware/adware or programs that
remove spyware or adware. Some popup stoppers and
antivirus software also do this. If you installed any
software like that change the settings in that program to
allow you to change internet options.

UnlockNoBrowserOptions.reg [right-click and select: Save As]
Removes the Administrator message in Internet Options
SpyBot also has this option in the Immunize section

You should check for parasites. That may be where the restriction came from.

Yesw, I do have spyblast and spybot on my computer. They
were provided by my cable company(I use a cable modem) to
help suppress the ungodly amount of popups lately.
However, I can't find any setting to change as you
suggest...can you be mre specific. i believe you are
probably correct with your suggestion...just need mre
guidance if possible...thanks very much.
