I am a newbie/sem- puter literate new WMM user who just started using WMM
yesterday. I have made a couple of clips from dvds I have. They play great.
WMM uses my TV Terminator to get the pix. It seems to work great until I get
back out of the capture and back into the WMM to try to edit (That's another
question)...When I play the clip I just captured for about the first 7 to 10
seconds it sounds like they inhaled helium...then the sound is okay. But from
almost the beginning, the sound and clips video don't match because of the
speeded up beginning.
This is what I have done:
1. Moved my audio levels over to the audiofrom video clip (left side)
2. Gone into options/compatibility and unclicked ALL of the things showing
there
Nothing seems to help...How can get it to start capturing with the right
voice speed to match the clip? It view perfectly on the little screen while
I'm actually making the capture.
I will ask my next ? after I get some help with this one...Thanks so much
for any help you can give me. JSM

Are you actually "capturing" with WMM or with the TV Terminator software
then importing to WMM?
The reason I ask is that if you are capturing with the TV Terminator
software then the result is likely to be an MPEG video which will not work
properly with WMM. I recommend saving the MPEG to your hard drive then
converting it to AVI or WMV and import that file into Movie Maker.

Hey Wojo, Actually I've tried both ways, I have cartured the clip using TV
terminator and it has the mpg extent. I also have saved using the WMM capture
and they show with WMV extent...either way when I play them in WMM or ehen I
upload them to zippy or youtube they sound like the chipmink for about 8 to
10 secondss and then talk normal afor about 5 seconds and then drag for about
5 seconds...thwen they are normal for the reamder of the clip...but they are
NOT in sync either...the video gets ahead of the audio...but maybe if I could
get the sound to not speed up in the beginning they would be in sync. Does
this make sense? I hope so...please, do you have any suggestions? I will try
just about anything right now...I have made clips using live tv, copied off
dvds and from clips I captured from TV Terminator and they all do this...so
far not even 1 has worked correctly! HELP!...LOL

I read through this article wich is very well written BTW, but even though
I've tried almost everything he's recommended, it is still doing the speede
up chipmonk voice and the voice finishes even faster than it did
before...like about 8 seconds before the video finishes. Is there any way to
syncronize the audio and video or speed up or slow down either one?

Well then the next question would be about the camera.
What is it? And how are you connecting to the computer?
