I'm having a problem with a search for airfare on Orbitz. I enter criteria,
click Search, and the green progress bar gets halfway and stops.
I've already talked to some of their tech people: "If you are using Internet
Explorer 6 (IE 6) without any of the updates, you would have difficulties
using our site. IE 6 does not have Java capabilities built into it because
of Microsoft's dispute with Sun."
I've used Orbitz for years without issue, but recently bought a new computer
running XP Pro and IE 6. IE6 shows the following:
Version 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633
Cipher Strength: 128-bit
Update Versions:;SP1;Q813489; Q330994; Q818529
So I'm thinking my browser is patched enough to cover java!
Finally, I bought a 2nd new computer with the same configuration; it can't
get any search results either. Orbitz says nothing's wrong with their site.
I'm not really having any(many) problems with other sites.
