Trouble with plain text/HTML formatting

Just switched one of my users from Outlook Express to
Outlook 2003, and now his emails are in plain text only.
All his formatting settings are right, and the messages
look fine in his Sent items, but whenever he sends, the
recipient gets a plain text message. Knowledge Base and
Office Help don't seem to have any suggestions - anyone
here seen this one before?

TIA
Sheldon

If the formatting is correct in the Sent Items folder then the usual cause
for HTML formatting being stripped is that a server somewhere is stripping
the formatting and forwarding the message on as Plain Text. I would test by
having him send himself an HTML message to see how it comes in and if that
works fine then the problem is not with Outlook or his e-mail server. If it
does come in as Plain Text then I would setup a test e-mail account with
myrealbox.com and test the same process to see if it has the same issue. If
it does then I am not sure what is wrong with Outlook but if it does'nt
then it sounds like his server might be stripping the formatting.

I hope this information is helpful.

I'm having the exact same problem. Just moved from Outlook Express to
Outlook 2003...all e-mails I send in HTML format are received in plain text.
I've tried sending to my work e-mail...sending to a hotmail account..and
sending back to my own address...all received in plain text.
Outlook 2003 is on my home computer...not part of a network or on a
server...so I'm assuming it doesn't have anything to do with the server
stripping the formatting as suggested below. I went to myrealbox.com...they
aren't accepting new accounts right now.

Anyone with any help or thoughts...it would be appreciated.
Thanks.
