Trouble with PDF attachment

Outlook 2003. I have code that attaches multiple files to email messageS
using:

..Attachments.Add

I attach Excel files, Word files, and PDF files to each message. The Excel
and Word files are emailed without error. However, when the recipient tries
to open the PDF attachments, the Adobe Reader says,

There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not
be repaired.

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE SOURCE PDF FILES, SO WHY AM I CONSISTENTLY
GETTING THIS ERROR? THANKS FOR THE HELP.
 
I checked the Outbox on these emails and opened the PDF attachments. They
opened fine? So what is happening to the files between when I send and when
I receive (I am the test sender and recipient for now)? Why are they fine in
the Outbox and unreadable in the Inbox? Help and thank!
