Hi, I'm interested in the new Windows Vista BETA 2. i downloaded and ran the
Windows Vista upgrade advisor and it said everything would work (some drivers
would have to be installed manually) so i thought great i'll try it. i
ordered the disk and when it arrived i popped it in and went to load it.
everything going grand untill it says several of my programs won't be
compatible. Many of them i can live without but one of them being the Norton
SystemWorks 2006 and internet security. Before i carried on with the stages i
thought it would be best to consult someone. Any help will be greatfully
recieved. Andrew Kingdon

You could skip the Norton product and download one of the free
Vista-compatible AV programs like the one from Avast. Vista has everything
else you need (firewall, antispyware, data execution prevention, etc.).

Do NOT upgrade a system with Systemworks 2006 installed. Remove it first.
It is impossible to remove under Vista and Vista will have severe problems
with it installed.

You'll be just fine with Avast on Vista. I haven't had any trouble at all
with it, and I would second the motion to stay away from Norton period
really. There are other choices and if you just search for antivirus on this
group you will get several.
