Trouble with Internet Explorer

I'm hoping someone can help me. I have been having
trouble accessing Ebay. When I enter a search or an item
number for a search, a gray box comes up that says:
Iexplore has caused an error in <unknown>. Iexplore
will now close. If you continue to experience problems,
try restarting your computer.

I did restart, but it didn't work. I've never had
difficulty with Ebay before. I have the most recent
updates from Microsoft, & have updated my virus system as
well. I haven't changed any settings at all on my
computer.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Thank you.
