Trouble with Intel wireless keyboard

Hi all, sorry if this is the wrong group to post this in (if it is,
could you point me in the right direction please?!). I've just had an
Advent DHE1000 computer and it came with an Intel wireless keyboard.
The instructions for setup are for a completely different keyboard so
are no use! The keyboard didn't come with any USB device to put into
the computer and is not working (however the remote control is!). Could
anyone tell me if I'm missing a piece of equipment or what i'm doing
wrong?

It sounds as if you are missing the reciever. Advent needs to make this
right.

If the remote control and the keyboard are part of the same kit, then the
remote control's receiver should be able to handle both the remote control and
keyboard. Several wireless keyboard/mouse/etc kits only provide one (1)
receiver which would control all the wireless devices.

Yeah, the remote and keyboard came together, although I don't think the
remote is made by Intel... The revised print-out they stuck in the box
with the computer says that when the computer first boots up, all I
have to do to activate the keyboard is to press this indented button on
the front of the machine with a pen, then press the "connect" button on
the keyboard. I'm now wondering if it's something you can only do when
the computer boots up for the first time (like, right out of the
factory) and because I might not have done it right on the first go,
it's now not working.

Should there be any kind of lights on the keyboard which light up? I
changed the batteries again, but nothing... thought there should be
some light or something just to let me know there's power in the thing!
