I am using buttons from a theme and when I look at the page in Frontpage it
all looks fine, but when I upload my page and view it through IE all the
buttons read the same. Is there a reason for this?

ie
As an example: Using Frontpage the buttons I have read Button1, Button2,
Button3 but when I upload my page all the buttons read Button1

Of you mean buttons in the nav bar
- Open Nav view and change anything
- Run a Tools Recalculate Hyperlinks
- and then Publish your site using FP

That didn't work. I'm using a link bar (insert>web component>link bars>bar
with custom links) and am changing all the settings there so it looks on the
Frontpage view that it reads correct, but when I save the page and view it
online all the wording is from the first button

Did you change anything in the Navigation View? Custom Link bar settings
are not the navigation view.

I've not touched the navigation page as all the links are to the an external
site. I'm not using the Link Bar as a navigation of my site, but to a
different site.

Can you add this to the navigation view? Or will I just have to write it off
and do something different?

link bar (insert>web component>link bars>custom link bar
adds a custom navigation bar to Navigation View.

Change something there and switch back to folder view so that the
navigation is updated, then run Tools->Recalculate Hyperlinks.
This should recreate all the buttons.

Cheers. Will give it a go when I get home from work.

Thanks for the advice - new to Frontpage and finding a few things difficult.

Tried it last night and it made no difference.

I think I'm just going to look at using images instead of the actual link bar.

How are you publishing? Custom link bars must be HTTP published to a
server running FrontPage extensions. Do not use FTP to upload.
