Hi,
I am having some problems with AD on a server i am adding to the
domain. I set up the DC already with the proper DNS zones and gone
through the DCPROMO steps to set this up, which is currently working
with no errors (so far as I know), now i am trying to add another
domain to it but when it goes to the final steps of finishing up i get
an error message saying "the role owner attribute could not be read". I
checked to see if the dns system log was giving me any errors on the DC
but nothing. I looked online to see any possible fixes, and to the most
luck i get that i need to reinstall SP4 but did that already and still
the same thing. Then i read to check the Schema master snap-in and see
who is the master, did that and its my main DC. Any help would be
great. Also quick question while i am here. My main DC is set up with a
standard primary dns zone. My network is about 40 users altogether,
should i set up my second server (the one i am having problems with) as
a stardard secondary? As you can see I am not a advanced Windows 2000
tech, but i am learning thanks you guys.
