Trouble w/Slide transition - 2nd Time

PP2003, Win XP - I have a presentation with hyperlinks on most pages which link to another slide within the presentation. If the hyperlink buttons are not pushed, the presentation is set up to auto-transition from slide to slide. The hyperlinks are designed to take viewers from one section of the presentation to another.
The problem is that, although each slide works fine the first time it is linked to by pushing a link button in another slide, the second time the slide is linked to (by pushing a link button in another slide) it won't auto-transition to the next slide like it did the first time. It is almost like PP2003 knows that it already transitioned away from this slide once so it won't do it again.
Confused? So am I so hopefully you understand what I'm saying. If not, I can provide any other info you may need if you think you can help me fix this.

Another question: Is there a place where presentations are posted for people to share and learn PowerPoint techniques?

Thanks for any help you can offer

I did not see your previous post, but I would be very surprised if it did
not get a reply. It is very rare for a post in this group not to get one.
Did you follow the news group thread?

Answer one
PowerPoint slides only reset their animations when they are 'advanced' into.
Therefore, if you link back to them, they we remain in their completed
state. There are 2 workaround methods available. The first involves VBA
and is too complicated for most users (or people that may be using the PP
viewer). The second method uses the technique of blank, 0:00 second
auto-transition slides placed immediately before actual slides. Instead of
linking to the actual slide you want, you link the preceding dummy slide.
This dummy slide auto-advances into you targeted slide and resets the
animations on the way.

Answer two
There are hundreds, if not thousands of PowerPoint files posted on the
internet. I'd recommend doing a google search on "PowerPoint technique
ppt". I had over 25k hits when I just did it.
Also, use the link in my signature to hit the faq sites, they are better
than any book you will ever find for learning PowerPoint.
