Trouble using RealAudio (.RAX) files, etc.

Trying to import audio into a movie, seems to be really fussy about what type
of clips it will take, won't accept .RAX RealAudio? Also particular about
certain Windows Media Player files. Conversion program I downloaded last
night to get from .RAX to .WMP did not work as advertised... any suggestions?
