Trouble updating SpyBot-S&D

I have been using SpyBot-S&D for many months without problems until
yesterday. After I have "Searched for Updates" and the list appears, and
then press "Download Updates" the program "stops responding" (according to
Ctrl-Alt-Del). If I don't bother to update, the program searches for, and
cleans just like always (of course with old definitions). But I am no longer
able to update.

Has anyone seen this problem?

Please help!

Select the Australian site before you download. The European site is
having problems.

Using the in-built "Look for Updates" button, I see no way to choose the
download site. I've just downloaded the updates after some difficulties, but
would like to know how to choose a different site.

Hi Frank,
in the update window there is a menu bar: the third voice is
"Safer-Networking" and has a pull-down menu in which you can choose among
five sites, four European and one Australian.
(SpyBot S&D v1.2)

This bit of the interface is kind of quirky. When you search for updates
from the button on the main screen, there's a "No mirror selected" label
visible on the new screen. Once it's done its search, this changes to a
dropdown list of mirror sites to choose from.
