Had to reinstall XP Outlook 2002.
Tried to get my contacts in a Address Book by right click Contacts
folder-Properties-Outlook Address Book tab
but "Show this folder as an email address book" is grayed out.

Use Tools | Email Accounts to make sure you have the Outlook Address Book service in your current mail profile.

If the Outlook Address Book is not one of the listed address lists in Tools | E-mail Accounts, you'll need to add it (in that same dialog) and restart OUtlook.

Tools>E-mail Accounts>Add a new directory or address book>Next. Select
Additional Address Books and click Next. Select Outlook Address Book.
Click Next, then Finish. Stop and restart Outlook.

My address book has disappeared after I upgraded to Office 2003 Pro (running
on Windows XP Pro). I did as the post said and went to Tools/Email
Accounts/Add a new directory or Address book/Next/Additional Address Books,
but I could not select Outlook Address Book because it was not
there...nothing was in the "Additional Address Book Types" list to select
from. I have already tried repairing my installation, have downloaded
updates for Office 2003, etc. I don't know what else to do.

Thanks,
Karolina

Perhaps you cannot use POP/SMTP to access MSN. Do you have a paid MSN
account?
