Trouble saving movie file

When I finally finish the movie i go to save but when its loading. the
perecent gets higher. it goes from 30% to ike 100% and on, and doesnt go
down. it usually says how many minutes or seconds are left but mine goes to
100 mins instead of going to seconds then zero so it never saves. I try it on
recommneded sizes and everything but i cant figure out what is happening. can
anybody help?
