Trouble replying to email.

I just found this group. Not sure if this is the right group for my
question. If not could you direct me to the proper place?

I am using Outlook Express. When I click on the reply icon it goes right
to my desktop. Same thing when I click on ctrl/R. The only way I can
reply is to click on the reply on the popup that appears before I open
the email. It has Open, print, reply to sender, reply to all. foreward.
& so on. I have a hp Pavalion512w.
Can someone tell me how to overcome this? Thank you very much!
