I set up my home network using the home network wizard.
I am able to do everything you should expect to be able
to do on the home network like share files, printer and
internet connection but I am unable to access some
internet sites from my client computer.I am able to
access these sites from my host computer.
I have also set privacy settings to low in internet
explorer so I know it's not that.
I read somewhere that the networked computer is made
almost invisible on the net could this be the reason why
I am unable to access some sites?

Thanks in advance

could be more of a browser issue if everything's already in place; yes
if your using ICS it does provide NAT(network address translation)
which would make any client computer seemlessly access the internet
IMHO.

My current network is xp ICS connecting to the internet(via seperate
adapter) with a bridged peer-to-peer wireless connection on the NIC2
to a Belkin 10/100 wireless router(with all ROM disabled) crossed over
to a linksys 10/100 switch serving an internet connections for xp
home, xp pro linux & winME; although only my Internet gateway gets
attacked every-so-often it is rare I find any problems accessing sites
I can even use remote assistance anywhere on my network even the non
( 802b wireless:{ )
do the work in IE reset all defaults clear cookies repair IE download
any patches, and you should be all set. If it is said computers
problem connect it directly to the Internet see if you can reproduce
it, if not the network has a problem

good luck

Linux -- a network in a box

Eric

I have tried connectiong client computer directly to net
and I am able to access the sites I can't through the
network.I know there is a problem with the network but I
am unable to determine what is causing the problem.

Same thing when connecting clients directly to the net
everything is fine but when connected using ICS client's
cannot access certain web sites.

So I tried a ping test from client's example: ping
www.yahoo.com (worked) ping finance.yahoo.com (worked).
Then tried using IP addresses in URL and
http://216.109.119.250 (failed).

Not sure where to go from here?
